The right pharmaceutical raw materials form the basis of customised medication and therefore the basis of personal care. Within Ceban, Metapharmaceutical is the Spanish producer of pharmaceutical raw materials. Its aim is that through these APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients) quality medicines, via pharmacies, hospitals and industry, should be available to the whole of society.

Pharmaceutical raw materials

Metapharmaceutical produces, repackages and distributes pharmaceutical raw materials for pharmacies, hospitals and the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry, mainly in Spain and Portugal. In Spain Metapharmaceutical is the exclusive distributor of: ACEF Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Nutraceuticals and Gattefossé. In addition Metapharmaceutical carries out laboratory activities for third parties.

Cleanrooms and GLP approved laboratory

Metapharmaceutical’s production site in Barcelona has five cleanrooms of which three are class D cleanrooms and two are class C cleanrooms. A high-performance GLP-approved laboratory is also part of Metapharmaceutical.

Recognised and GMP certified

Metapharmaceutical Ind. S.L. is licensed by the Agencia Española del Medicamento y Productos Sanitarios, as a manufacturer or importer of active ingredients, as well as certified by the Ministry of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya as a distribution centre for medicinal products for human use authorised to reproduce, fractionate, package and/or label medicinal substances for retail distribution.

Metapharmaceutical is also registered in the food health register (RGS) with number 26.10004/B issued by the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition of the Ministry of Health and in the health register of industries and food products of Catalonia with number RSIPAC:26.06193/CAT.

With this, Metapharmaceutical meets all Spanish, Catalan and European quality requirements.
